KYC & Fraud Prevention

For Luna Luna Lux International

1. Policy Statement
Luna Lux International is committed to the highest standards of anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) compliance. As a reputable dealer of high-value goods, we have a legal and ethical obligation to verify the identity of our clients. This KYC policy helps us ensure the legitimacy of all transactions, protect our business, and maintain the integrity of the luxury market.

2. Scope and Application
This policy applies to all clients and all transactions exceeding HKD $50,000 (or equivalent in any other currency). We may also perform KYC checks on transactions below this threshold at our discretion if we deem the transaction potentially higher risk.

3. Information We Collect
For qualifying transactions, we may require the following information and documentation from the individual completing the purchase:

For Individuals:

  • Full Legal Name (as it appears on official identification)
  • Residential Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Nate of Birth
  • Nationality
  • A copy of a valid, government-issued photo identification - Hong Kong Identity Card (for HK Residents) or Passport (for international clients)
  • Proof of Address (if different from ID address, and for all wire transfers) - recent utility bill, bank statement, or government-issued tax document (dated within the last 3 months)

4. The Verification Process

  1. Collection: After an order is placed, These documents must be submitted promptly (within 48 hours of our request) to avoid delays in order processing.
  2. Verification: All customer identity documents are manually reviewed by a trained member of our team. We inspect the ID for authenticity (checking security features and expiration date) and verify that the name matches the order and payment information. We confirm that the proof of address is recent and matches the customer’s delivery address. We do not currently use automated KYC databases; all checks are done in-house. This manual process ensures a thorough review, though it may take additional time for completion.

  3. Discretion: Luna Lux International reserves the right to perform enhanced due diligence on Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), clients from high-risk jurisdictions, or in cases of complex or unusually large transactions.

  4. Approval:  If the documents meet our criteria, the transaction can proceed. If a document appears fraudulent or cannot be verified, the transaction is put on hold and escalated to the Managing Director. At this stage, we may ask for additional proof or cancel the order if we are not satisfied with the customer’s credentials

5. Data Security and Privacy
We treat your personal data with the utmost confidentiality and security.

  • All documents and data are transmitted and stored using encrypted, secure systems.
  • Collected information is used solely for the purposes of identity verification, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • We adhere to the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). Your data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
  • Data is retained only for the legally required period and then securely destroyed.

6. Client Cooperation
Your cooperation is essential. Failure to provide the required documentation will result in the cancellation of your order and a full refund of any payment made, in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.

7. Policy Updates
Luna Lux International reserves the right to amend this KYC policy at any time to reflect changes in law, regulation, or our business practices. The latest version will always be available on our website.
